Willow Confectionery Pty. Ltd. is an all Australian owned and the third largest Australasian company manufacturing Easter eggs, rabbits, display boxes, chocolate frogs, chocolate bars and novelties. We are also one of the few world-wide companies that specialise in manufacturing chocolate products in a totally nut-free factory environment.

The company grew from a small family retail business operating in Mordialloc since 1945. The owners, Robin and Yvonne Smith quickly broke with tradition expanding the local retail business into a substantial wholesale confectionery business specialising in Easter gift baskets.

In 1987 Willow Confectionery was opened and a small range of Easter products were developed manufactured and sold locally. During the 1990's, the wholesale confectionery business with an expanded range of Easter products and chocolate novelties were sold into major stores interstate and then later internationally. The sub-contract manufacturing arm of Willow Confectionery offering a selection of chocolate recipes was established to provide businesses with their own private label range of chocolate products. A marketing programme was developed originally using radio and cinema then in early 2003, the first television campaign was undertaken to expand the Willow Confectionery brand name throughout Australia and the Pacific Rim.

Willow Confectionery numbers among its many achievements the highly regarded certification for HACCP (Hazard Analysis at Critical Control Points) food safety and Quality Assurance programme and subsequently the company won two awards for Business Development and for Business Innovation from the Melbourne Business Awards Committee. In 2004, continuous improvements to the business and the chocolate recipes have occurred as Willow Confectionery continues to strive for excellence.
